06july-Asakusa

Today I’ve changed my hostel, just two streets away from where I was, but they didn’t have any vacancy anymore. I’ve arrived at 12 and I’ve been updating my mail till late before to rent a bicycle and go around Asakusa for three hours looking at all the shops and temples around. Soo nice!

But really, I’ve  lived more the night than the day. Finally I have gone out and I went to Kahosan bar, the bar from the hostel, to spend some free sake ticket I had, it was really goood, you could also have brown wine, a drink sweeter than sake. But at the end I tasted Santori, a nice japanese whisky. There I have meet again a lot of people, norwegian, swedish… and again my netherland friends, jejeje. I’ll miss them, maybe we will see again, I think easyjet has some good tickets to Amsterdam, jeje.

After, passing by the 24h. we went to the hostel were we meet so maaany people again, it was reaally fun looking at netherland-uruguay, jajaja. I wanted Uruguay to win….but it wasn’t possible… oooooh!

I just went home at 6, nearly 7…

05july_New friends

Just sleeping two hours I woke up at 6a.m to meet my new spanish friend Marcos and go to see the great Tsukiji market. When I arrived Marcos wasn`t there, at least I couldn`t find him…, maybe it was too late already. But I continued my way to the market that was just behind the point we met, passing through all the little shops that are selling the superfresh fish from the market. The auction is at 5am., then it was 7am. and all the auction was done and all the fish was been packed, that was also really interesting to see. The market is huuuuuuuuuuuge and really it worths it!! After that, like my lonely planet suggest me, jeje, I have just eaten some of the fresh dishes you can get around.

By the way to the market I have found some netherland people (dutch, that not deutch), a couple and the brother of him, that they were waiting their lost luggage for three days in Moscow and they also were going to the market. At the end, I have spend nearly all the day with them and I have really enjoyed them. Netherland people is very friendly. :) Jorien and Timo were the leaders, and Eli and I have been following them around Tokyo like two sheeps. We have taken a day metro ticket and we have been around the emperor temple, that unfortunatelly was closed because of monday, but anyway we have enjoyed seeing all the macrobonsais and the wall you have before to get in, and also taking some funny pictures!!

After tasting some of the stranges sodas you can get in any drink machine, our next stop had been Kagurazaga, where I have seen my first temple, washing my face and my hands before to got in and having a pray and shaking the huge bell. After, we have just gone to Shibuya, it is amazing!! And we have gone up to a shop to appreciate the incredible view of the famous crossing.

The strong rain has threaten us again and we have been waiting in the entrance of a shop untill it has finished. Anyway, it is so refreshing!! These days are really rainny, but I am so happy that nothing matters to me. :)

After saying goodbye to my new friends (by the way, they have found their luggages!!), I just run to Hachiko, a black dog next to an smoking area where all the people is meeting. There I met Kohji, the Metropolis art director magazine, an international guide magazine from Tokyo, and he has been my guide night showing me two super cool bars around, the kind of underground bars I like. Sooo good!!

Here, I am taking life so quite that I can enjoy of every little thing, like having this blog. Otherwise life passes like we already knew everything and we would be running to arrive to the end. :)

04july_Getting in

Waking up late because yesterday I didn`t want to sleep cause the shock of the country, I have meet my friend Kazuma at midday to get a videocamera and a portable memory in the technology area of Tokyo, Akihabara. We didn`t reach the mission, the prices weren`t as cheap as I thought… The yen has grown up so much that Japan is not cheap anymore. That`s one of the reasons for the expensive prices. Another could be that in shops they are renovating material all the time, it means that they always have the best technology to sell but when it is finish, something better and new is arriving, then all the material is keeping expensive.

After that, Kazuma has brought me to a cibercaffe to still check throught the internet some cameras. He told me that in Japan the cibercaffes are so advanced that you could live in them, they also have showers!! Then, we have got in and we have had some free coffe and a cabin with two computers, sleepers at the door and paddy floor, so confortable!!

I will think about my camera, maybe a second hand camera is the best option!

After that, Kazuma has suggested me to go through AmeYoko, a lot of shopping streets where I`ve got into an Onsem that I didn`t know it was just for men. :) Kazuma had to work today, at 6pm on Sunday, incredible! He is working so hard in his trainning season…

All the evening has been raining、but has been so humid all the day that it has been like a refreshing shower. Nevertheless, I`ve bought an umbrella which I am really proud of, because every one had one as mine, I was on the wave, jeje, and I got it cheaper than it could be an umbrella in the street in Barcelona!

After walking quite a lot with this rain, I was just looking for a map, after 2 days I haven`t found any touristic one in english, and suddenly I have just asked to one of the few tourist I have found, and he was spanish. He was from Guadalajara, having a work paid travel, what an envy!!! We have been talking a lot and tomorrow we`ll go to see this famous market of fish that we know through the film of Isabel Coixet “The maps of sounds of Tokyo”. (Thank you Coixet.) I really want to have some recent fished sashimi like breakfast!!

I am already thinking when it will be the moment to come back to have a long stay in this country full of little things to discover… For me it is like a new life, like borning again and redescovering the world with other eyes in a reaaaly nice way of interior peace.

19:30 exit from the hostel with my friend Kazuma and his friend Ryoya, university student  from Tokyo universtity and going to Shibuya. I have eaten in a 7th floor next to the crossing Shibuya, near by the metro station. There I`ve found Marie, Daisuke, Eric and Ryoko, all friends of Kazuma. They were so funny, drinking sake and eating all kind of japanese tapas. They have also ordered japanese palla to make me know how they eat it here. :) After, I went home to take the last metro to Asakusa hostel.
